I would have waited for my coffee. I get grumpy like so many in this thread if I don’t have mine!

Operative words are expensive cigar smells. Ahhhh.

Why was power out...a storm?

Woke up at 7. No power. Opened my garage door manually and drove to McDonald’s for coffee. 12 cars in line at the drive thru, and 10 people in line inside. You can only sit at a few tables outside, and one was occupied by a guy smoking a cigar, so, he owns the seating area.

1. The power company should be more reliable.
2. McDonalds should open the inside seating area.
3. Cigar smoking should be banned in all dining areas.

Everything is fine now. The power is back on.

First sentence -- Woke up at 7. I'M HAPPY I WOKE UP!!

I agree, and I bought a relatively small portable inverter generator as insurance for the hurricane season. My number one concern, beside it having enough watts to start up the fridge, was how noisy it runs. Quite a bit quieter than our air conditioner units outside our homes in Mallory. We need to be able to sleep with it on. Up north I have a standby generator with a silencer etc. You can still hear it 2 doors away. Did not want something like that here in TV.
