Some of you people are being mean. I can understand Lone Traveler's point since we lived in a kid community of about 8,000 homes. It was kind of like TV in the fact that the land owners were decedents of a man who owned a huge ranch that covered much of south Orange County, CA and they were creating master-planned communities out of some of it. This was their third community and the best. It has walking paths, parks every two blocks, walk-to stores, three state-of-the-art schools including one middle school, a water park, a skate board park and a forum much like TOTV. Everything activity was for the kids. Kids played in the landscaping in front of our house (the park was about 100 feet away) and wrecked it. I yelled at them to get out and some of them did, but I was visited by some mothers who yelled at me for yelling at them. The landscaping took 1.5 years to come back after that. The middle school kids were bored and roamed the neighborhoods wrecking decorations or stealing them. A lot of them had motor scooters that were very loud and there was a constant battle on the forum between the mothers with small children who were woken up or almost run over and the scooter moms who said "Well, at least they aren't doing drugs". All pools were kid pools and there was a battle between the people who wanted to swim laps and the people who thought the kids should do whatever they wanted in the pools, including poop... another big forum issue along with street parking, or lack thereof, and problems on the round-abouts. The pools were closed on a regular basis to be disinfected. We just had to leave. TV is NOT like that. I totally agree with SteveZ's post... the charter schools for employees is a really good thing. The activities are for us, and some for the kids. But the kids don't rule everything. I think Lone Traveler would love it here.

It was brilliant to build the charter schools and they are a major calling card to attract and keep the service providers we can't live without. So welcome to all of those folks - you can even use our cart paths! We presently live in a pretty harmonious fashion and that's one of the best things about TV.

Well said!

Lone T. - If you are serious then I can feel for you. If possible definitely remove yourself from that situation. I know some mobile home parks in FLA have had some of those same issues.

That, and a bag of doughnuts gets us - well, a bag of doughnuts.

Actually add a third 'veteran' member to the kudos team.
