I have accepted the fact to live with the screen size as being too large. Just move the bar at the bottom on every post read. What a PItA.

The time on my post is 5:14 p.m. Log out and look at the same post

and it says 6:14 p.m.

Just out of curiosity, could you click on User CP and click on Edit Options and go down to the Time options and see what option you have for DST. You should have Automatically detect DST or DST off.

Also verify that you have -5 for the GMT offset.

Just a thought.

Screen size.... ipad, no problem

Desktop, Firefox browser...no problem

Desktop, Internet Explorer at 150% zoom does force a small horizontal scroll bar area.

At 100% or 125% zoom, no scroll bar

21" monitor at 1024 resolution. I will send Admin some screen shots.

Your results may differ ;)

What we have learned is that as we progress and need to update software that these upgrades are starting to not support older hardware ie: monitors.

For example, there are currently 6% of the users on the site that have monitors that have a resolution capability of 1024x768 which is why the screen image now appears different. If you go to newegg.com you'll see that out of 367 monitors for sale only 5 have resolution of 1024x768. Only 14% of all internet users have this remaining hardware resolution.

If you are experiencing an issue and are not using a monitor 1024x768 please let me know as we suspect this issue is primarily with users using a 1024x768 monitor.

Regards

did all that - no help. When I'm logged in the time is correct. When not logged in, the time is off an hour????
But thanks for the try.

I just tried it. You are correct!! If not signed in and you look at the posts, they ARE one hour later.

The time issue should be corrected now. You can let me know what you are seeing on your end.

I looks like it has been fixed to me. If I sign out and look at this post the time is still 9:55.

But since BOMBERO made the initial complaint, I will leave it to him to verify the fix.

Thanks,
Z

Before today I would have to scroll about 2 inches over but today it's down to about 1/4 to 1/2 inch. My monitor is 1024x768. Hope this info helps. :)

That would make sense as the 1024x768 is not really supported by the newer technologies.

philnpat 12-05-2011 05:11 PM

I'm using a Compaq laptop with a resolution of 1366x768...I still have to scroll to the right thus cutting off the ads on the left.

nitehawk 12-05-2011 06:26 PM

i am using 1024 x 768 and i have to scroll - get annoying

Yeah, we have to scroll but we don't have to see the ads!

I was at work when I wrote that earlier and now I'm home with the same screen size and have to scroll about 1.5 inches. Doesn't make sense to me. Same screens, different scroll distances. I guess I'm not geeky enough to get it! I don't understand why newer technologies don't support this when I just bought this Dell monitor new last year. What is considered the current standard?

nitehawk 12-06-2011 07:50 AM

if i change my resolutions from 1024 x 768 to 1152 x864 it is ok. Why is every other site fine with the 1024x768 ???? If I change to 1152x864 everything else is too small. This is the only site that I have to scroll with 1024x768 why is that ????
