Sellers beware
When selling an item in the classifieds be careful. I think I might of been in the process of being scammed. I could be totally wrong, but something was fishy. The buyer kept talking about a certified check and would include movers fee and then I would take what the item amount was and then I would pay the movers their cost. I'm like , yeah, NO!! NO CASH NO DEAL! I trust no one. LOL

unfortunately that is very common on Craigslist when you post anything for more that about $200. Yes it is a scam.

The certified check will be a worthless counterfeit.

There was a thread on this on next door about two weeks ago.
Need to find out where the buyer is located very often nowhere near you. |

We have both bought and sold a few things on TOV classifieds, including a beautiful used BMW convertible we bought. Our cardinal rule is we meet the other party face to face and the buyer has cash in hand. Otherwise, forget it.
