We purchased our Coolaroo's from Lowes. They came and measured and made custom ones.

Highly recommend RK Products. The owner is a Village resident and we have great auto controlled shades on rollers that drop at the flick of a button. Stormy Armagost is the guy to see and he can be reached at 352-430-4430.

If you would like to see his work drop me a PM and we can show you what he did.

We highly recommend Cool Breeze. We just had screens installed on the lanai and also our garage. We love them. If you would like more info or would like to see ours, Send me a private message.

Default estimate

Can anyone give a ballpark estimate on how much theirs cost? I know it will vary greatly depending on the size of the lanai, but I want to have an idea so I know if I should consider this. I have the regular lanai on a courtyard villa, plus a large birdcage in back but I think I would only want shades on the regular lanai part.

We opted for Cooleroos from Home Depot. Two shades installed for around $500. We are happy with the product and installation. The sizes are approximately 6' × 8'.

We also used Coolaroos from Lowes. They measured, ordered and installed them after we picked out the color of the shades. A year or so later, we enclosed our lanai and they came back to reinstall them. The price for that was $99. Configuration had changed but the installer made it work. Very happy with them.

We used Village Blinds and Shutter (near the intersection of 301 and 466), our Lanai is 12 ft by 31 ft, and the cost was around $2000 as I recall. Lowes, Home Depot, etc, did not have shades wide enough for some of the openings, and we did not want to use 2 shades in the large openings. Very happy with the results.
