Default Sharon Rose Wiechens Preserve

Yesterday morning I spent about an hour at Sharon Rose Wiechens Preserve. This is a great place to walk and observe nature, much like the walking trail in the Village of Fenney. So if you need a mini getaway or moment of Zen, I would recommend that you check out Sharon Rose Wiechens Preserve.

And just wondering, who is Sharon Rose Wiechens?

The Wiechens Preserve was named for the great-granddaughter of Villages founders Gary and Sharon Morse.

I wish they had a few picnic tables in the open area. A great place for lunch during a bike ride.

I suspect those that would use the tables for lunch would be tempted to share crumbs with the wildlife and that should be avoided. People here feed everything, including the alligators at the ponds and somehow think that's ok.

Hope you are enjoying your stay. It goes by so darn fast, doesn't it?

Thanks for sharing some of your experiences while there. Gives me some good ideas for my next visit.

Next to the dog park on Moyer Loop. Near Belle Glade CC.
