I'm looking forward to this news and have longed for a good range locally. Maybe now I'll actually get back into reloading since I plan to use this range often.

Both ranges will be a great asset to the villages! Will be good for property values. It's a very popular hobby. Thank you mods for keeping the politics off of here. We should all Pledge Our Allegiance!

I read Shooters World's web page and I don't believe they permit reloaded ammo.

Thank you very much!
I was very impressed with Shooters World Tampa facility,
when I was there earlier this year.
It is a well run, first class operation.

Could be. I called a gun range in Ocala and they said insurance regulations wouldn't allow it. I can't find anything about it on the Shooters World web page except this.........All gun rentals must be used with ammunition purchased at Shooters World.All firearms rentals must use ammunition purchased at Shooters World. The price of any firearm rental will be credited towards the purchase of the same model firearm........... I plan to use my own guns so it may not be a problem. Strange the rentals must use ammo purchased there instead of Wal Mart or else where. Maybe I missed something about reloads? I can understand why they don't want any hot reloads fired in their rental guns.

Either we have two names confused, or two different gun ranges are coming to Lady Lake. I remember reading about Lady Lake approving a gun range. Someone asked about it, this is a copy of what I posted on TOTV in June.

In the Sun it said the company made an excellent presentation and they voted 4-1 to proceed to the next hurdle, whatever that is. They were impressed by his current operation in Orange Park. The owner has an agreement to buy (I think) 12 acres in the area on 441/27 in Lady Lake.

His Orange Park operation is called Basics Gun Store and Range, it looks really nice from their website and will probably be packed from day one when it opens here.

Here's a link to the Gun Range in Orange Park;

Here's a link to the Gun Store;

Basics Range and Gun LLC

It's two gun ranges. One on 441 and one here somewhere in TV.

Shooters World may be great but if you want to join a great, safe place to shoot most anything but a 50 Cal you can join the Eustis Gun Club and drive there in 30 to 40 minutes. Ten ranges, pistol, rifle, shotgun for skeet and clays. Very reasonable for a year fee and like I said....very, very safe!

Where is Shooters World going to locate in the Villages?

Do they sell used guns? I'm looking for a used .22 pistol for my nightstand.

Chatbrat 08-22-2016 04:33 PM

Go to Nordic Pawn in Wildwood for used guns--shooter's world is for new guns

I'd recommend something other than a .22 (.38, 9mm, .40); it takes a WELL PLACED round with a .22 to stop someone.
