Default Short term grass cutting company

I know I'm a minority, but I still take care of my own yard (mow, trim, etc.).
Can anyone recommend a mowing service that hires out for a short 2-3 week period that I'm traveling and away from my home? The companies I've call will only cut if you contract with them for year. I'm located South of 466A.

Tell them you will pay twice the usual amount and they may do it for you. You see, the companies DO contract for a year and their very good price (usually around 35$) is for the 12 month period, in which part of the time the grass grows fast and furious and part of the time the grass doesn't grow much at all.

It is only fair to them to pay a higher rate for a short term contract. IMHO

Default check with your neighbors

Ask the companies that cut your neighbors' yards, since are coming to the area anyway. Expect to pay a little more, but I don't think it will be double. That's what we do when we leave for the summer

Just ask some of the neighbor kids. Oh wait, never mind.

I trade mowings with a neighbor who also does his own yard. I cut his when he is on a cruise or the like and he does the same when we go away. Works fine. Also trade cat-sitting with another neighbor.

Thanks everyone the suggestions, Markam, I ended up doing as you did, I found a neighbor to help out while I'm gone, and will do the same for him.
