Subaru use multiple layers of high strength steel. Boron steel is a problem because of the difficultly with extraction if necessary.

How did this get that far off track?

Only if it has been activated.

I am very glad we have Amber and Silver alerts. At least we the people have passed laws to help us do kind things, even if some of us act like we are "raised with wolves".

It doesn't take a house to fall on you to know that the people who love this man are VERY worried. I hope someone finds him or he finds his way home. I don't know what would happen to either of us if we were told to do something like stop driving and still feel like we could handle it. There are all kinds of very sad situations, getting older. We have all worked so hard and always faced tough things and are stubborn, most of us. I hope he will be found before the sun goes down tonight and I pray that if or when it happens to me or Sweetie that we will be saved from something so awful.

I get Amber alerts on my phone but no silver alerts. How can we fix this??

My late grandmother Helen had Alzheimers pretty bad the last 99th year but seemed OK before her 97th or so.

Looks like he is still missing according to the other news site.

And the bragging rights.

Audis are just as strong.

They said he took off in the car after an argument; they did not say whether or not he is allowed to drive.

He is probably still able to safely drive but not remember how to find his way such as the way home. I don't let my wife drive for the same reason since her dementia has slowly gotten worse. Trying to show her how to use the gps would be like talking to her in chinese........I'd like to know the difference between "Amber and Silver" alert. One must be a higher priority.

Amber is for children. Silver is for seniors. Prayers/best wishes for your wife's health, Shimpy.

Thank you, I couldn't agree more.

I wish they didn't list him wearing a Rolex - attract the wrong person looking for him.

Praying he is okay.

VILLAGERBB 02-29-2016 09:40 AM

I hope he is found and returned home safely.

Silver Alert Update.

At 4:30 p.m. Monday, ****** drove himself to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Village Annex and told deputies that he had heard he was being sought.

“Mr. ******* was in good condition and was removed as a missing/endangered adult,” the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
This is from the site that must not be named.

The man is safe.

I read the great news. Many times situations like this do not end well. I don't know if it's a happy ending at their residence, but it is a safe one.
