No. If you want to go fast in a street legal, stay in the street and out off of the multi modal path. The speed limit in the path is 20 mph.

The key is to sneak up on them and blow by them as quickly as possible. If you make the mistake of letting them see you are going to attempt a pass, it’s almost guaranteed they will suddenly feel the need to put the pedal to the floor to thwart you efforts. And then of course, they will slow down again when you no longer have a window to pass them.

Pass'em any way you want ....... unless, like me, they have a gun rack hanging in the back.

They blow by me at about 30 mph
While doing so they give me a one finger salute
And at the same time yell some other obscenity
Then cut back in front of me by 1 foot or less.
I see they do not have a "street legal cart"
And then they slam on the brakes because they just caught a cart going 12 mph. with no room to pass
And probably yell another obscenity
nice story but I doubt that occurs very often if at all. Yes some go faster than other, but we are all retired, so can wait for an opening to pass safely. If you are going 15 mph, you will have a line up behind you.

10 mph is a little extreme, might as well walk. If you have a cart that doesn’t go over 10 mph, take it to the Yamaha dealer & get the governor adjusted.

If they’re slow and I need to go around them, boom 💥, hammer down.

There are those who think 20mph is slow. I top out at 20mph and get passed by old grey hair ladies all the time. We need some speed traps around here.

Or............Not worry about people going 1 or 2 mph over the 20 limit. I'd much rather the police do something more important.

If you're in a golf cart and there's no one in front of you look back. If there's carts close behind please pull over and let them pass you.

This is much the same with left lane drivers.

It's called courtesy but apparently is a foreign concept to many people.

20 MPH fast enough IMO in most golf carts with rear breaks and top heavy. and especially when comes to sudden stop.
