Sorry for the loss of your friend.

We take it seriously and when in close quarters with others do wear a mask

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. It is real. We lost two very long time friends from Ohio who were married to each other for fifty years about a month ago from Covid-19

Two sweet friends were hospitalized in March. 6 out of ten of them became sick after eating out in The Villages together on St. Patrick's day. Thankfully they survived, but were VERY ill.

Thanks everyone for your kind words regarding the loss of my friend from Covid. Five days before her death she was evaluated and treated in TV for shortness of breath and cough in addition to other symptoms due to an other condition. She was sent home without being tested for Covid. Five days later after her condition worsened, she was transported by EMS back to The Villages hospital, where she tested positive and passed the next day.

During the five day interval between her first visit to ER from which she was discharged without testing, even though Her symptoms ( weakness, congestion, shortness of breath and cough) were symptomatic of Covid to her subsequent admission,, she was probably very contagious. Several home health people, visitors, relatives and EMS personnel’, were needlessly exposed to her.

Very sorry to hear of your friend’s passing. The further description is heartbreaking - initial attempt for treatment, apparent disregard for common covid symptoms and no test (!). Thank you for alerting us to what happened & people who visited. Transparency is always appreciated, even when unpleasant. May your memories bring you peace.

I am sincerely sorry for your loss...At this stage of the pandemic, every patient with respiratory symptoms should be tested for COVID-19. Furthermore, every patient admitted to a hospital should be tested to ensure that he/she is not an asymptomatic carrier of the virus. My condolences to you and to your friends' families. COVID has been an awful thing for so many families to endure.

I was admitted to TVRH last month for a non COVID reason but before I could be admitted I had to have a COVID test. Anyone testing positive goes to a separate area. Btw, I had amazing care while there for 4 days.

So sorry to hear this.

I have had five tests for Covid antibodies while donating platelets or whole blood over the past three months or so and all were negative. One Blood has been testing donors for Covid antibodies since mid May of 2020.

Not sure how I could deal with a positive Covid 19 antibody test.

I have been living like a monk for quite some time not doing much of anything but staying at home and wearing a mask whenever in groups of more than a few people.

My youngest sister was tested a little over a month ago and they found she had antibodies.

Started feeling poorly last week and it appears she now has the virus but surprisingly it will take 6 days to get the results.

So far she is resting comfortably at home hopefully if she has it, it will prove to be a mild case.

If your sister had antibodies she would have had a previous infection. Those antibodies from a month ago should prevent her from getting it again. Hopefully, her malaise is unrelated.
