...Well let's see......For more than 3 years those Batteries have been in Chinese golf carts shipped EVERYWHERE in the world....EXCEPT...those coming to the USA......The US taxpayers recently gave a $$$$ A QUARTER BILLION DOLLARS $$$$ to subsidize General Motors' Brownstown Twsp. Michigan plant ( called "A123" ) so they can build these "old-school" batteries for the Chevy Volt.... . MAYBE they will build some for golf carts too.

Plans being discussed for USA to build Batteries in Buffalo NY, Ithaca has a battery design company working with Cornell University that has developed a new process to allow lithium batteries to be more cost efficient cheaper to manufacture and charge much quicker.

From hearing aids cell phones to electric cars. Charge rates to be reduced from three hours to 3 minutes are being developed and tested now.

The Cart Industry will switch over when we as the consumer get off the Hydro Carbon fix and start buying electric carts. Or if a Ban on Non Emission Controlled Gas Carts is implemented and that will be that. Has already started out west.

Right now 15k to produce a Volt or Leaf Car Battery! For a Golf Cart or LSV Lith ion would be three times the cost of lead acid and the charger would have to have a different program. Power range might make it worth it?
