[QUOTE=Lea N;2036802]Try calling your local fire department. I have heard that some of them will do this for seniors or for people with disabilities. I'm not sure if this is done in TV or not.[/QUOTE

This was an incredible service, but I believe they have had to cancel this and the smoke alarm battery service they used to do.

Q: Do you know how many psychiatrists are needed to change a light bulb?

A: Just one, but the light bulb has to REALLY want to change.

Be sure to use an LED light bulb as I think these have a long life.

I don't know about changing light bulbs, but the fire department does change the smoke alarms and the batteries. They had suspended the service due to COVID, but they are now doing it again. Call Public Safety, 352-205-8280.

How many women does it take to change a light bulb?

Women don't change light bulbs. They just accept them the way they are.

Our Border Collie would gladly volunteer to change every light bulb in the entire Villages if she had thumbs.

Thanks to everyone who sent me the Handiman information and the information that the Fire Dept is back doing smoke alarms.

A special thanks to everyone who offered to change the light bulb for free, so very kind of you, but my dignity needs to pay for a service.

There is a real need in TV for a Handiman List. Unfortunately my person has retired.

Go to Lowes or Home Depot. They have a pole with various attachments designed for doing that exact thing - changing otherwise inaccessible light bulbs. Plus its a whole lot cheaper than hiring a handyman for the job. Good luck.
