I miss my '61 T-bird that had only 46,000 miles, owned it for 25 years, but no place to store it at my home in Summerhill.:grumpy:

All of my muscle cars, all of my old toys especially my Rockum-Sockum robot and my wood burning set.
What is something you used to own (now lost, stolen, sold, discarded, given away, etc.) that you wish you still had?[/QUOTE
My high school ring. I took it off while I was washing my hands at the high school I attended, and someone took it. :( |
'79 RX-7, Burnt Orange, first year sold in US.

The 70's, I think....and my '62 Chevy II SS convertible, baby blue with a white top and interior.

the only year with front quarter windows- the ones that 'air conditioned' you and were used for a grab bar. Stylish, but the worst traction imaginable until we sandbagged the already tiny trunk. Blue w/ black vinyl top (yuck to vinyl tops) L (without L then) |
Back in the late 60's I saved up my pennies and bought a new Gibson J-45 acoustic guitar for $250. I played it for about 2 years and then joined (yet another) rock band and sold it to a buddy to buy a Fender Strat. Wish I still had the Gibson. A new one retails now for about $2500, and a vintage one like I had if it's in good condition is worth at least twice that. Plus it was the nicest playing guitar I ever owned. Sigh.............

the thing I miss the most is my mother and father .

My '66 Chevy Malibu 2-door hartop. Yellow with a black interior. I admired that car as a teen when our neighbor owned it. He traded it and two years later it showed up in a used car lot a couple of towns over. I bought it immediately. Never should have sold that car. I still have dreams that I kept it and wake up sad that I didn't.

A 1965 Buick Skylark Convertible. 4 speed with bucket seats. I have an old photo of one of my girlfriends washing it, can't remember if it was me or the car she liked best.
1. My baseball card collection - I was a huge Mickey Mantle fan and had dozens of his cards - gave it to my nephew, and my sis ultimately sold in a garage sale. :cus:
Article in Sports Illustrated today. Honus Wagner baseball card, between 1909and 1911 was sold for $220,000 and with the 19.5% buyer's premium, $262,000. For those of us who had old baseball cards, this is amazing that one card sold for so much. :cryin2: |
