Default Glass recycling

I put our glass bottles out for recycling every week, in a different bag from the plastic etc. but in the same pile, away from the normal trash.

If the recycling truck arrives second it takes both plastic and glass; but if it arrives first it leaves the bottles for the non-recycling truck.

Is there a golf-cart-accessible bottle bank where I can take them?

Thank you

I put all my recyling items such as cans, glass bottles, plastic containers(except newspaper, etc. which I tie in a bundle) in the same clear plastic bag and never have a problem. Why do you sperate the glass???

I'm having trouble finding the clear plastic bags. Where do you get them?

Just because glass is so much heavier than plastic, so I put the bottles in a stronger bag, but I'll try putting everything in the one bag and see what happens

and it's not because I have so many empty wine bottles each week :-)

We also put all our plastic, glass and cans in same recycling bag. You can also put papers in there with those items. Just has to be clear plastic bags for the recycleables. With three of us here we have a lot of recycleables every week.

Default ? bins

Are bins allowed? We put our plastic and bottles together in one bin and our paper in another bin here in MA. I always thought that plastic stayed in the landfill so I was surprised to hear that it is the norm in TV.

I have been known to go into the kitchen trash to pull out recyclables that my husband tries to sneak in with the regular trash. Aha!

We keep our newspapers in a bin in the pantry until recycling day, to save room, when we add them to the other stuff in the clear plastic bag.

Our dogsitting friends set the bin out on recycling day and the trash/recycling truck took it! Have to put them either tied up or in the plastic bag, I guess.
