Hi Mrdills,
Do you get a yellow drop down message from your browser at the top of your screen (below your browser buttons) asking you to enable activeX or noting some other issue. If so, you might have to click on it to enable activeX or fix whatever else it is blocking.

Does that work?

No, I didn't get the yellow box asking me to install ActiveX. I have seen that at other times, but not when trying to view both webcams. At any rate, I can now see it when going through "chrome" but I don't know how to set "centurylink" as my homepage when going through chrome. Boy, one problem leads to another, huh? I guess I have to use IE to get my emails? Not too computer savey as you can see. :sigh:

The improvement at night is especially pleasing. At night, the previous Spanish Springs camera showed basically light bulbs and blackness. The new camera is able to show many details clearly. I love it!

Open your IE and go to the LSL web cam. It should come up with the message stating you have not installed ActiveX. Now click below the window on "Go To:Spanish Springs Town Square". Again you will see the message that you do not have ActiveX installed but this time at the top of the overall window (just below all your toolbars) you will see a blue line asking you if you want to install ActiveX. Click on that blue bar and it will install ActiveX. Now click on the "Go to: Lake Sumter Landing Market Square" and you should see the web cams.

If that does not work or you have problems send me a PM and I will try and help you out.

I erased the site addresses for both cameras. Would someone please post the addresses for each. Thanks:bowdown:

Hi Irish Rover,
Here it is once again.

Just click the link on the SS webcam page to move to the LSL webcam page.

Another easy way to access the webcams is to go the homepage of www.thevillages.com and click on the current temperature in the upper right hand corner of the screen (the actual temperature, not the words current temperature). Works great for me.

i find the simple fast way is to type it in google and presto!!!

But then you have to listen to the goofy Villages song. :a20: Actually Chopper, that's good information. I didn't know that.

I have started using chrome and am now able to view both webcams. I set centurylink as my home page. I now have a problem when forwarding emails. As soon as I hit the forward button, the entire email disappears and the recipient receives a blank email from me. I will post this question in the computer questions section also. Any ideas? Thanks.
