They had to change the line to the street when I got that notice. I too was wondering why they needed to, since all seemed fine, but it's something they do to prevent issues.

Email
Check if the phone number in the email is the same as the actual Spectrum number. At any rate if you do call, call the number you actually have, and don't reply to the email.

When you call them - IF it's real they will tell you exactly what they intend to do. otherwise you wasted a post! |
Sounds suspicious.

I just delete it, when it fails then i’d call them. |
Ask Spectrum
Try calling the number on your bill and ask them what they are going to do while at your home. Don't settle for "Check the hardware". Their email sounds like there is something specific they are trying to do to avoid an outage. Don't settle for anything but a specific answer. Hope it helps.

It is 100 percent legit. I have friends and family that both work for Spectrum. Spectrum does check your signal every so often, and unlike Xfinity, they fix a problem before it becomes big. No scam going on. If you do not want them in your house, then just wait till it breaks on a Saturday evening when you have a house full of guest and then call them then to see when they can come out.
