Speeding is a very big problem on all main/major roads in The Villages. If one drives at the speed limit, almost all other vehicles will pass by...try it and see.

Did you see that Villagers have paid over $250,000 in traffic fines over the past few months. No lesson learned, I guess. PLEASE SLOW DOWN.

Way to go!!! Keep speeding and maybe, just maybe, but not likely they will lower my taxes. ;D

I can't believe that Buena Vista is only 35 mph. It is a divided highway, limited access, no children to run out in front of a car. It should be 45 mph. The problem is that so many people are old, with very slow reflexes. the only thing that keeps me from more complaints is that if this is all the residents can handle, then we may as well keep the low speed limits. Some of these people simply can't handle any more speed. some of them really should stick to the multipurpose trails (in their golf cart).
The circles are another thing. They are no problem. Just pay attention to the drivers around you and expect them to something goofy. It seems that everybody has his/her own idea of what the rules should be.
One of the biggest problems that I see is people gabbing on cell phones and not paying attention to how they are driving.

I think 35MPH is plenty fast for The Villages.

Agree that 35mph is fast enough for the Villages. 20mph seems too fast for some Villagers on their golf carts.

If they would raise the speed limit to 45 on the MAJOR arteries, the we would'nt have to put upwith those ignorant electric carts and modified golf cars that are supposed to be street legal, blocking traffic while doing 25 miles an hour and causing as traffic blockage. What are these people ?thinking??? And while I am at it, those bicycle riders are not very courteous either!@!

The bicycle riders argue for equal traffic rights, but have you ever seen them stop at a stop sign?
