Grrrr...

Better late than never, though.

I don't see it like that at all. I always thought that we would have to keep away from others for a long time and we may still have to quarantine, some of us, until a vaccine is effective and released.

I do not understand this exception to what needs to happen. There are ways to worship that do not require spreading disease. If the Catholic Church in Italy can shut down mass and the Pope speak to an empty St Peter's Square, surely the local church on every corner can do the same.

Agree. Perhaps the governor can explain how going to church with a bunch of other people is safer than a group of 4 or less golfers maintaining social distancing guidelines.

On the other hand, reading the actual order, it does not prohibit golf---the order exempts outdoor activities where social distancing guidelines are followed. I'm sure there will be a clarification forthcoming

This must be wrong. Church services are gatherings of people and I am sure Governor Desantis would NOT have allowed that. I think almost all churches have stopped having live services around here, anyway. Church services should not be allowed. I don't think God would like us to endanger ourselves and others.

Agreed but I hear more noise from pretend Arnold Palmers and don’t understand why,

The only way to truly understand is to take up the game and see if you get bit by the golf bug. The bug doesn't bite everyone, but if it gets you, you are hooked.

That’s the absolute best definition I’ve heard. Thank you. Enjoy!

CDC recommends outdoor activities. Fresh air and sunshine are good for body and soul. Lots can be done safely - dog walking, bike or cart riding, a car ride, etc.

I fear too many will interpret "stay-at-home" to mean barricade yourselves inside. It really means doing what responsible adults have already been doing - avoiding contact with potentially infected people and washing your hands after touching potentially contaminated objects. Carefully maintain social distance but enjoy the outdoors!

hellloooo -- hopefully they will close all the golf courses -- the golfers have been getting away with a lot == just ride around and see groups of people lining up or being together on the green -- good decision to close golf too

Are the TV golf courses closing???

One of or neighbors is an Ambassador at a Championship Cours. They have not been told they are closing the course.

The legal distinctions are interesting. Lowe's/hardware stores are designated as "essential" services* and are allowed to stay open, but are customers supposed to go?

* At least of this afternoon when I called to ask about a return.

Don’t believe the news about China getting a hold on the virus.

Golf is an outdoor activity therefore does not fall under his order.

These numbers will give some perspective, but won't sink in either:

worldwide:
COVID-19-------682,708 cases, 46,252 deaths
Influenza A-----500,000,000 cases, 650,000 deaths
death all causes--57,000,000

Perfect response
