What a ridiculous post! I personally don’t like it when the servers have masks on. First of all the masks that 99% of people have on are useless. I would prefer to just have a clean looking server that was good at their job. Also, if you ever did get coronavirus how could you ever prove that you got it from a server at Palmer? Ridiculous. I am so sick of the paranoia that I hear out here daily. Just stay home!

Masks ARE effective, even cloth masks. Tests show that when speaking, droplets travel 6ft. With a cloth mask on droplet-spread is reduced to 2 ft. That IS very effective. I have seen the video on TV.

So, according to the manager, it is okay to have unmasked employees walking around from table to table spreading COVID-19. Unbelievably stupid, irresponsible, and inconsiderate of the welfare of both the patrons and of the servers themselves.

I notice that several posters say that they are willing to assume the risk of contracting COVID-19 at the Arnold Palmer restaurant. What a callous, narcissistic, irresponsible attitude!

To them I say: This issue is not just about you. It is about the welfare of other people as well, and you may responsible for some of their deaths or illnesses because of your irresponsible actions. Didn't you learn about basic morality from your parents, your teachers, or your church?

Even Dr Fauchi at onset in the US said that masks were not needed. There is alot we still don't know.

UF hasn’t had a new case in almost 4 weeks.

Before you speak of cavalier attitude, there are those on this site who are risking their own lives, that don’t have the time to worry about things they cannot change. They do not have time to be in fear, some may think that’s a cavalier lifestyle, others say it’s a calling

I wouldn't know why they have NO TIME TO WORRY about their human life. Seems unusual for a human being to approach possible suicide so calmly. Key word is not CAVALIER but SUICIDE.

Those of us who continue to live may have chagrin over those that put themselves in harms way at a beautiful beach with a beer bungalow near by and six buddies on either side of him/her. And no face mask. But we shouldn't be overly concerned if they have cast their faith to the winds. People have every right to commit possible suicide; as we have every right to continue living. Harsh. But true.

I am so with you on the research you did as listed above. Bravo/a

Have you ever noticed that many people believe the 1st thing they hear, and then later, when that thing turns out to be NO LONGER TRUE to the original speaker, and the authority changes his/her mind, many don't care or won't hear of it. Man, that's a true breakdown of logic and belief.

Sounds like a very famous statement made, I think, in the 1960s;
WHAT IF THEY GAVE A WAR AND NOBODY CAME?

Good luck proving that one in a court of law......Have you left your home in the last 2 weeks, yes I have but......Nothing further your Honor.

That would be wonderful and we would not have to speak of empathy, if older people were invulnerable like supermen and women.

“Not wearing a mask is a sign of your privilege. It means that, even in a pandemic, with thousands of people dying, you have not been touched by sorrow. Trust me, if you had actually seen Covid-19 in action, ravaging the human body, you’d be wearing the damn mask.”

Amen, good post!

Additionally I have been monitoring my zip code, 32162, and the last reported case in that zip code was Apr 29.

I rely on facts not generalities.

And some are still fighting a war against CV.

If it can be proved that one of the servers had the virus and a couple of patrons die as a consequence of contracting it there, however much liability insurance the Club has won't be enough.

Send in the SWAT Team.
