Default Store closing

I went past Bealls outlet at Southern Trace last night and saw store closing signs in the window. No date listed just all sales final. I’m going to miss this store.

Say it's not true! I liked going to that one over-all. BUT that said I saw online yesterday, that many stores throughout the U.S. are closing. Such as Gap, Victoria's Secret, Penneys and more (I don't remember the others).

That’s awful. Soon most of the shopping centers and malls will all be empty. The “younger” generation does everything online. My son even bought his furniture online. How the heck can you buy all your furniture online, lol! Maybe I’m just old fashioned but I like to sit in and try out before I buy. That’s just me.

But they "get such good deals from Wayfair.com" I saw a breakfast set on Wayfair that I liked for $1066, and buyer had to assemble it. I bought the same one at Badcock in Wildwood on sale assembled and delivered for $600.

Probably the best one to close now that Colony is the new centre of TV.
Mulberry will cater for the Northern Villagers!

I'm not part of the younger generation, but, recently, I have started to buy almost everything from Amazon. It's easier, less expensive, more reliable as to availability, and the items are delivered to your home. I just received a shipment of paper towels, coconut water, shampoo, pop-up sink drains, and fiber gummies. Everything was less expensive (often 30 percent less than the store), and it came right to my front door in a big box. No wonder stores are going out of business.

I sure hope the regular Bealls doesn’t close! I really enjoy shopping there....😊😊

On another note....back “home” we have a mall. It was just announced that the JC Penny will be closing. They have now lost all of their anchor stores....Sears, Bon Ton, and now Penny’s. All of the 5 quick eateries have gone out. My fear is that this mall will close soon. It’s such a shame.

What I find ironic is that department stores compete against themselves. You can buy their products online and only use the store for returns. In fact, you can often buy something from Barnes and Noble online for one price, but, if you go to the store, they will charge you a higher price for the same item.

Agree with Retiredguy123. Plus, if I do not like or is not what I thought it should be returns are easy. Two minutes on the computer and they pick up at my door. Never had a return like that in a brick & mortar......

That is happening where I grew up in upstate NY also. Keep voting the same people and keep raising taxes, soon there will be no people and no businesses there.
