What happened to the Daily Sun's Moffitt Donationmeter? Did the USF take it to do research?

I read in the Daily Sun last week that the Health Alliance contributed the rest of the monies for the equipment needed.

I think I know what is going to happen next.

Sounds like a lot of speculation. Let's stick to facts.

There was the full page Moffitt status update in the paper one day last week.... perhaps somewhere around Thursday. It used to be every Tuesday but has moved around a bit of late. The fundraising effort is ongoing. If the Moffitt goal is not met by November, funds from the Health foundation (currently being accumulated for the hospital in Brownwood) will be used to cover the shortfall while fundraising (for Moffitt and other hospital expansion) continues.

The partnership with USF has no direct relation to building or funding Moffitt nor was any funding or fundraising mentioned for the USF initiative.

Gracie is correct. The hospital announced The Health Alliance will make up the difference and will get repaid in the end. (Take that anyway you want, LOL)

and didn't want people to see how slow their efforts were going since not everyone was ignorant of the fact that the same equipment is already in use in another non-villages owned facility.

Ya know Big Lew, I don't know what those Morses are thinking. AND I don't want to ever argue with such a nice guy who has such an intimidating moniker.


I would like, before I exit stage right, to read a book, a really in depth book, about them. Just what they are really like, what they really think, who they fell in love with and married, what their kids are like, what the inside of their homes are like, whether they ride horses, have dogs and cats, play a lot of golf and whether they send flowers on their anniversaries.

I would like to have the REAL story. A lot of folks hate or love them, like or dislike them, but I don't know a SOUL in The Villages who ever says they were invited to dinner or to a First Communion, Bar Mitzvah or Apres Polo do.
