Free?? Really?? Are you volunteering to deliver the paper using your vehicle and your gas for free?

Default I'll stick with the Orlando Sentinel delivered daily to my door.

Made the switch to the Sentinel months ago. It is a little more expensive, but it has actual news in it. It has It isn't just noise like the Daily Sun. Also, it is much smaller than the Sun. It is amazing to me that it has half the pages and ten times times the actual news.

Why free? They are a business and are in business to make money. You can get most of that information on line anyway. Why is it that people always want someone else to foot the bill?

I don't want someone putting a newspaper on my driveway every day. I don't even like it when someone delivers a free flyer every month or so, but, apparently, there is no way to stop it. Please leave my driveway alone.

There’s more than enough news sources out there already. And read the upper left corner of the local news section.

There are many people in our community that do not subscribe to TVDS for various reasons. Thus, they are missing out on critical public health information. This endangers all the community. Thus, the powers-that-be at TVDS could provide a public service by providing online and/or physically delivered newspapers during the pandemic.

P.S. I am a paid TVDS subscriber.
I see you’re a newby with 2 posts; are you new here or are now with nothing to do and decided to start putting non-sensical posts in TOTV?

Make the suggestion to Winn Dixie and Publix that they should make all their food free.....

The delivery person is a local self-employed contractor driving their own vehicle in the middle of night so you will have the paper in your driveway when you get up. That's who I'm more concerned about and you want it free so another person loses their job. The subscription fees go to that contractor, the newspaper makes their money from all the ads they sell.

I agree, plus there are plenty of other ways to receive covid-19 information. Most easily, watch the Orlando news stations for reports of cases county by county, and hear what the governor has to say on television.

Sign up for notices from The Villages offices and learn what is closed and what is open.
