McAlisters is a half of block off the main square. Looks like a lot of hair splitting to me.

This is my point. The Town Square should be like a park in a city, like LSL and SS. A nice place to sit, take in the sites and people watch. PS is not park like at all, just a crappy little music venue.

Absolutely agree. People in their 50's have very different shopping wishes. Groceries? Amazon Pantry. Household goods? Walmart delivery. Great date night? Hello Fresh delivered to your door. Dancing on the square? No be-bop please. Something 1970's. The Villages is slow to change... look at the Villages app (not even an app)... The Villages radio... you can hardly find free WiFi in the Villages. Restaurants and grocery stores need to be something we don't already have. Trader Joe's is a big one. Costco far exceeds Sam's. Something a little more organic, just a little more something... not the same chains we already have!

I still think TV is ripping off store owners with exorbitant rent but really don't know.

I am 54, you have no idea what you are talking about, although I do like 1970s music, I still like Bebop. And we love going out.
Maybe 30 year olds, not 50s

Brownwood is the best venue of the 3 squares to watch music hands down IMO

I wonder if whether you "like" Paddock Square at Brownwood or don't like it has anything to do from WHERE you grew up? Perhaps the folks from areas that have horses and farms around them, or in their memory may feel more enjoyment and nostalgia? Maybe those who lived in large cities or areas that didn't have these memories or connections don't like it as much. I am always a little amazed about what some folks call "red neck"....... disdainfully.
