when I hear how it's such a logistical nightmare and no one could have done better, I'm left wondering how we moved armies and supplies half way around the world. there must be people skilled in logistics on a large scale that could have been tapped for this.

The private sector already has capability in place; wonder why that is not being utilized (yes....... discounting those in the system that cannot meet the storage requirements).
