Absolute power has existed for a long time in these neck of the woods, but the peasants were treated well and no one minded or complained. But then things changed, and the peasants were no longer treated so well. Several things happened such as a 25% property tax increase and the tearing down of a Championship Golf Course Clubhouse. Now the peasants have taken note and are starting to make some noise.

Do you really think so??? Nah, it is just too obvious to really be true.

I have asked Gilpin and Breeden if they have any information about who is funding Angeliadis's fishing expedition and why. Not surprisingly, Gilpin and Breeden are not answering. Maybe more of their constituents ought to ask them those questions. The stench of the whole thing is overwhelming.

In answer to your two questions, yes the paper is wrong and keeps writing misleading and slanted articles.

Tend to avoid TV news as do not trust them either.

Thinking about your post and will update it.

I do think the paper is wrong and it publishes very misleading articles.

I guess I hold print journalism to a higher standard. and the village sun fails miserably.

I think maybe most print journalism has held out longer than television. There has always been the National Enquirer but it was obvious which papers would report on alien babies and which would provide honest news. It isn't as easy today. Television news went first but print journalism is quickly catching up.

Should be interesting.

The former judge is Angeliadis, who was appointed to the office and was booted out of office by the voters when he first ran for election. Even his name sounds like a disease. Here is a video showing him in action: George Angeliadis Open Records Request - YouTube

As of March 22, he, Commissioner Gilpin, and Commissioner Breeden still refuse to disclose the name of Angeliadis's mysterious client who is funding Angeliadis's fishing expedition (which targets Villagers exercising their First Amendment rights to petition the government) and say what the deep-pocketed client is up to. We can only imagine. The whole fishing expedition stinks.

That it does

Scam

It's no surprise there is a member (Hage) of the Florida State Legislature who is allegedly acting as an arm of the Developer and trying to get bills passed that would pass impact fees to the residents of the Village and be a land fall for the Developer. You now have his name and if he is re elected then you deserve what you get. I know some may take exception with the term "Scam". One of the definitions of the term is: a dishonest way to make money by deceiving people Does anyone question that not making it public that allegedly he was/is working for the Developer thereby deceiving residents is not a "Scam". Allegedly it is a form of the old Huey Long politics but in a different robe? A serious question is how many other members of the Legislature have traded votes to support the bill and what did they get for it? At what point does this stuff stop and people are held accountable?:ohdear:

Still no answer from Commissioners Gilpin and Breeden as to who is behind

March 23: Still no answer from Developer puppets Gilpin and Breeden as to what they know about who is paying for Angeliadis's to compile the Villager hit list and conduct his fishing expedition and what his mysterious client is up to. We can only continue to imagine. If you haven't seen it, don't miss the video: George Angeliadis Open Records Request - YouTube

This is dirty politics here in Sumter County. This all stems from the Impact Fee. Those who believe in socialism don't want impact fees. Why should those impacting the environment and infrastructure be held responsible for the impact they create? They would rather make all of us, already living in Sumter County, pay for the impact imposed by any new building.

When the developer doesn't charge the proper impact fees, then those of us who are living here foot the bill for the newcomers. Plus, low impact fees depress your home's true value. Someone is trying to find dirt on ONLY those who want higher impact fees, or who won't hope in bed with the developer.
