As Ooper said, the GPS is going to be spot-on accurate. I've checked our various cars' speedometer readings with one. Some of them are waaaay off!! Bill |

Does anyone know how it's calculated? |

Speedometer apps must be really accurate. |
I did get a ticket and paid it. Do not use a lawyer they can do nothing for you I know. Your cart does not have to be upgraded. Just add bigger tires and you are there over the limit. If these people that are glad about people getting ticket just stop and think about it. We know very little about the crime in The Villages as the Daily Sun doesn't report any unless they have to after it is out in public.
We know very little about golf cart accidents in The Villages. If you think it will be safer for you or anyone when all the 200+ ticketed people get their light electrical vehicles and can go 25 MPH all the time including on the separate Golf Cart Paths good luck with that one. And that is correct 200+ and counting. When I was in court my lawyer said the Sumter County DA had 90 the week before mine and 80+ the week I was there so I am sure their were more before and after those weeks. Maybe we need a new sheriff. |

Golf Carts and LSVs
I just purchased a LSV and no one seemed to know the real rules, not even the dealer!
Would be nice if The Villages printed a book on purchasing golf carts and LSVs, the do's and dont's and the rules of the road in The Villages, FL on golf multi use vehicle and jogging paths. I keep hearing about meetings but never seem to see any notice about them. Every day I see golf carts drving in excess of 20 mph, people sitting in them and driving in them drinking alcohol, folks paying no attention to the rules of the road...so I am thinking The Villages needs to post fome information on the purchase and use of golf carts and LSVs as well as a map of the roads for those vehicles...smiles and frowns...Bob Busby |

The Villages Homeowner's Association (VHA) sponsors a Golf Cart Safety Clinic. It is usually held the third Wednesday of the month from 10AM to 11:30AM at the Savannah Center. They usually have various specialists (police officers, insurance agents, etc.) at the meeting to give a quick speech and answer any questions.
