Actually, chubby is one of the problems of the U.S. Not just us Villagers. We are high risk here in The Villages because; We are older. Median age is 71. We take medication, for things like gerd, for high blood pressure, for thyroid, for anxiety. We take them to make us healthier. We don't exercise enough. And we are fat. I don't think you had to come out and say it. 2020 is hard enough as it is. Are you real skinny? Sigh. |

I noticed a while back that a critical factor seemed to be weight When the photos of the (at the time New Orleans) deceased seemed to more often than not of big big people. A lady on News (in FL) just the other day was crying (and I felt her loss poor lady) that her ”healthy” teenage son who had been QTing religiously had died from Covid 19. The picture of him as a teen, he was obese. Strapped to a ventilator using extender straps. She stressed how healthy he was. As mentioned I don’t know who is getting it right these days but this Doctor is one I watch as he gives briefs on stats daily and he discussed obesity yesterday. YouTube It’s not PC to talk about obesity as a susceptibility for Covid 19 so it’s getting less attention than it should. |

Not to be confused with the risk of catching the virus. |
There are really a very limited number of ICU beds in this county too, a poster enlightened me to this grim fact. Currently only 9 ICU beds available in Sumter County with only of 24 ICU total according to clickorlando.com.
Yikes. We really can’t afford to get it wrong as a community. |
