Default Neighborhood Closeout Sale

TOTV is a wonderful resource! We contacted our salesperson and asked about this promotion and we now have a lot of information on this promotion.

We were told that they sold 100 houses last week.

I was talking with a realtor who is not with the Villages and she said they are still closing on about 300 a month.

So are we near the bottom and excess inventory has cleared or will there be a bigger, better sale in January?

My crystal ball is very cloudy...

I took the "bird in the hand" theory to heart and bought. :

Dicky...tell us more??? Did you buy sight unseen or did you come down for a quick househunting trip? Some of the bargains/markdowns were pretty significant.....in your situation, ready to buy within a couple of months, I can see where it would have been tempting to jump in now. Congrats to you and your pooch. See you on chat.

I found the link to The Villages newsletter for November last Tuesday which said Neighborhood Closeout! Save Thousands. This got my attention. The early look did not have details on particular houses. I was thinking of my "Once and done" strategy of renting in June and July to buy and close. I am retiring in March so I have been looking at the Patios that fit my budget in Duval closely, I had seen some of them when I was down in August. Later that day The site showed the homes and their discounted prices. I sat down and did the math for a June or now situation and the $13,000 + discounted price on a house that was above what I was looking at before blew my old strategy out of the water. I figured I had to act fast to get my first choice and called my Villages sales rep and said I want this discounted house. I put a quick deposit down and the rest is history. Therefore it is sight unseen, close by mail, and I won't be able to go down till January for a few days, depending on the weather here. If it wasn't for this site I wouldn't have even thought of doing that. Looking at the site there is only one Patio showing tonight.

TOTV is a great resource!

My husband and I visited the TV the end of October. We did not buy a house on the visit, but we left knowing TV was the place we wanted to live. We were impressed with the number of activities, the cleanliness of TV, and the happy, happy people we met. So, last week I logged on to TOTV to find out about the new incentives and the neighborhood closeouts. Long story short - we bought on Daffodil Court. Other than the pictures from the realtor, we have not seen the house. It looks great, but the real deal is that we will be living in TV. Excuse me if I sound like a cheerleader! But, we are so excited. Now, sell the house in El Paso and we will be on the road.

Thanks TOTV. ;D

Looking at the TV sites there are only 2 new Patio Villas out there. One on the regular site and one on the sale page. A couple of weeks ago there were over 20.

DickY, Dave & Sandi

Congratulations, you're gonna love it in TV. We bought a resale "sight unseen" last April (bond paid) through MLS and have never regretted it. We saw our Courtyard Villa for the first time in October. We LOVE it, I knew we would. Life is great in TV!
