Just pull over when you can. Even going full bore idiots will tailgate you; same people probably tailgate in their cars.
Just shake your head and let them go past you.

....OH WAIT... the speed limit on paige pl at Hacienda Rec is only 10 mph.....

The tailgaters must not be able to read the speed limit sign...
...due to their poor depth perception.

I always wondered why the ten mph limit is posted? In the 7 years I've lived here I have never, ever seen the Lady Lake police enforce that speed limit. I've actually have seen them never drive the limit either nor have I been stopped there. Maybe they did at night after the square closed?

I just wave them on by. Zoom, zoom, zoom.

I was frustrated driving behind a cart going 10 miles an hour riding in the middle of the road yesterday purposely so that no cars could pass...I know he knew he had cars behind him, as he kept looking in his rear view mirror

share the road....drive safe and stay to the side...don't act self-righteous by trying to 'enforce the speed limit' while riding in a flimsy vehicle like a golf cart...unless you really enjoy the food in the ER

It happens to me all the time. I often wonder do they think by riding my rear I will go faster? I have an electric cart which is slower than a gas cart plus I adhere to the speed limit. These golf cart bullies are so annoying and just take the pleasure out of driving a cart.

I understand your concern but that is one thing I will not do and the way I have always felt is the closer you get the slower I go. If you are in a hurry then leave earlier.

That's it, irritate the heck out of them and make the situation worse. You're behavior is no better than theirs.

Maybe he knew but that doesn't mean he was doing it on purpose. Could have been very nervous and had a reason to drive like he did. Or maybe just unaware of his actions.

They are late for the early bird specials

That’s a lot of maybes.

Roron123 09-26-2020 12:09 PM

If you are that slow pull over or wave them by, less stressful for everyone

Lil GTO 09-26-2020 02:26 PM

So you kit the brakes for no reason and you’re willing to be injured because you want to control others driving. That’s a juvenile idea.

So frustrating when in a car as well. I sometimes just slow down or suddenly apply the breaks hoping they’ll run into me. ( dang that darting squirrel) But wait this is about Florida where every other person is packin’ a gun. Not a wise move in TV.

The advise is still the same. Let them go by.

My cart is slow, tops at 18 with a good tailwind... I know I’m slower than most so when I see someone closing in on me, I look ahead, if it’s safe, I’ll move slowly over while waving them on, they go by, usually wave or yell thank you, and I slide back and get back to my breakneck speed. 2 people happy and going about their day. If I ignore them and stand my ground or go even slower, it just gets them agitated, and I might feel better about myself, but I just made someone mad. I like it better when everyone is having a great day. Life is too short to let little things bother me. IF I had to wave 4 or 8 carts around and slowing a bit, it might make my trip take an extra minute all told. Enjoy your day.

Good attitude. Avoiding certain people in order to protect your emotional health is not weakness. It’s wisdom.
