Tee Times for Visitors
We ( 2 couples) will be heading down in August for a week of The Villages. We will be renting a home for 7 days Sat. to Sat.). We do not know which village we will be in until we get there. My question is, once we get in and get our visitor residence passes and guest passes, how soon and how do you make a Tee Time. There are two golfers in the group and we hope to play almost every day. Any recommendations will be appreciated.

Tclad....
Advance requests are assigned 3 days out (i.e. on Sunday for Wednesday) so you'll be playing catchup. As a one week visitor, not sure if you'll have access to the tee time system (phone or online), but, fortunately, this time of year tee times are plentiful. Still a little tight from 830 am til about noon. You can also call starter shacks in the morning and see when they have openings. Or, if you have any friends who already live here, have them make tee times for you. You will have no problem playing every day as long as you are flexible on time and course.

Call the championship courses on day of play and you should find openings every day. There are 9 championship courses and numbers are in the villages phone book or go to www.golfthevillages.com. Click on Executive golf if that is your interest and/or championship golf. Each offers plenty of information about the courses.
Also calling courses day of play eliminates the need to navigate our t-time system for advanced requests. Good luck......... Last edited by chuckster; 07-20-2009 at 08:31 PM. |

And, call early @ 7am and if you're interested, play after 5pm is $5

I believe the twilight golf for residents only is after 5:30 and costs $5.00 per person/all you can play at the championship courses. As aln said call early as those times after 5:30 are popular. Played this past weekend, great deal........

It sounds like you are renting through The Villages. I think you can ask them to make your tee times before you arrive.
