I've wined and dined on Mulligan Stew, and never wished for Turkey
As I hitched and hiked and grifted too, from Maine to Albuquerque
Alas, I missed the Beaux Arts Ball, and what is twice as sad
I was never at a party where they honored Noel Ca-ad (Coward)
But social circles spin too fast for me
My "hobohemia" is the place to be

I get too hungry, for dinner at eight
I like the theater, but never come late
I never bother, with people I hate
That's why the lady is a tramp

I don't like crap games, with barons and earls
Won't go to Harlem, in ermine and pearls
Won't dish the dirt, with the rest of the girls
That's why the lady is a tramp

I like the free, fresh wind in her hair
Life without care
I'm broke, it's o'k
Hate California, it's cold and it's damp
That's why the lady is a tramp

I go to Coney, the beach is divine
I go to ballgames, the bleachers are fine
I follow Winchell, and read every line
That's why the lady is a tramp

I like a prizefight, that isn't a fake
I love the rowing, on Central Park lake
I go to Opera and stay wide awake
That's why the lady is a tramp

I like the green grass under my shoes
What can I lose, I'm flat, that's that
I'm alone when I lower my lamp
That's why the lady is a tramp

Oh my gosh, Halle,

We landed at exactly the same time with our posts. 5:24, posts 15 and 16. Wow! I wonder who cleared us to land from out here in cyberspace.

Hey, thanks for the complete lyrics. I love that song.

Oh Pt, not to worry. Sometimes it is hard to communicate like this. Nobody can see our faces or gestures or any of the other stuff that makes up so much of communication.

And I really do know that sage means wise, but daggone it, I just had to lapse into that song lyrics thing again. I need to get a grip.....or a new emoticon that looks like it is singing.

Thanks, Boomer. I know just what you mean too. As my friends and DH can attest, whenever I hear anything that even remotely reminds me of a song, I start a'singin' it. So, I can't carry a tune. Hey...
There's nothing you can sing that can't be sung
There's nothing you can say, but you can learn how to play the game.
It's easy!
If I don't breakout into song, I sometimes breakout into verse:
If we had an emoticon
For when we quote a song
I would not be confused
And think Boomer abused
'cause I'd know what was meant all along

Default Theatre Groups

Try out Murder Mystery dinner parties at the Tea Plantation Restaurant, they get filled out before they even advertise.

These are run by M&M Productions which advertise in the Recreation News

Hi Petrina, welcome to TOTV.... we're so happy you joined us.
I've been wanting to come over to Tea Plantation to see the Murder Mystery dinner party and bring some of my friends there. Can they accommodate a fairly large group at one time? Will it be hard to get a reservation? Do you have any connections to help me, LOL...

See ya soon, GF...

Wait, Wait, Wait...... going off topic..

I wanna know how did Boomer get "soaring parsely" as her status and I'm just a sage.????? HUH??? 'Splain, Tony please.... I get busy for a few days and don't post, and I'm demoted???

Back on topic, SSchuler, how do I get to see your production. Unless something is at Havana, Gator's or Big City Grill, I know nothing about how to attend these things. I need to expand my horizons...

What? Soaring Parsley!

Hey Kathie, thanks. I missed that earlier this morning. I know I have gone on and on, in this thread and in other ones too, in response to those various names we get around here -- through no choice of our own.

And I think that maybe Soaring Parsley has appeared in a response to my complaints. Probably Mr. Tony thought he was giving me a name I really would not like. But i gotta tellya. I think I rather like this one. I am not quite sure why, but I think I like it.

It is making me feel a little creative. It is giving me ideas.

Ya know, Soaring Parsley could be a great name for a girl band or singing group. You can be Sage and so all we need is Rosemary and Thyme. So whadaya think Kathie? (do you know how to sing? I don't) I could play the tambourine though.....or maybe we should just open a trendy salad bar type restaurant and call it Soaring Parsley.
