At least you didn't spell it "tickle". That would have been hilarious.

He obviously tried everything to get him to stop the ticket but they just don't do that. Maybe if he offered the LEO a scoop of Fancy Nancy with a side of potato soup it may have worked. :D Great chicken salad by the way if you haven't tried it. :)

I kinda prefer the one with dill and cucumber. And there are SO many parking spaces in front of Chicken Salad Chick there's no reason why people can't just park. And if you're having someone else go in, drop them off, park where you can see them, and go back to pick them up when they come out of the store.

Anyone who parks in a no parking zone should be ticketed. Anyone who parks in a FIRE lane - that ticket should have a higher fine than just a generic no parking zone.

If there are signs that say "No Standing" - that means - even if you're IN the car, you can't be there. You can drop someone off, leave, and return to pick them up. That's it. That's all you're allowed to do in front of a "No Standing" sign.

It's horrible at Walmart, because the entire curb-side area is designated for golf cars to drive through in front of the store, but people park there to pick things up, get out of their cars, or use it as a loading zone - which it is not. If you're getting heavy furniture then park near the exit aisle in an actual parking space and have an employee bring the stuff to your car.

When my wife and I left Too Jays on Spanish Spring Square, I found a golf cart parked 6 inches off my front and rear bumper. The drivers were nowhere to be found. Had to wait nearly an hour for one of the drivers to return. The driver just got in his golf cart and told me as he drove away that I should not have parked in that area. The area had parking spaces along the curb marked for cars.

I wouldn't have waited. I would've disengaged the brake on one, pushed it out of the way, moved my car, and pushed it back in place and re-engaged the brake.

I park our car curbside and turn on the flashers in Mulberry Plaza just long enough to escort my wife, who has suffered from several serious falls, into the dentist or beauty salon and again to retrieve her afterwards. She can barely walk with a cane and needs me to hold her arm to move. There are rarely any handicapped parking slots available anywhere near her destination. We are not "privileged," but careful and we try not to hamper traffic. If we are fined, we will pay the fine.

I'm sure you're a lovely couple... It warms my heart...

Unfortunately, many don't understand the multitudes of reasons people have handicap placards, or need to park very close. If they don't see you limping, using a cane or in a wheelchair, they figure you're just being "entitled"...

Heart Disease, Emphysema (and other chronic lung diseases), Neurological disorders (which can result in falls), are only a few reasons some people may not be able to walk more than a dozen yards without assistance...

But sure, let them judge you without knowing a damn thing about you...

Oh come on .!!!

Also my pet peeves the golf carts have no consideration for people parking cars

This wasn't about pulling up and parking and someone's handicap space this was standing in the far Lane where you're not supposed to be and taking up the roadway and only a two-way road. I see this a lot at the supermarkets where people pull up and just wait for someone for half an hour instead of parking it's almost impossible to maintain the traffic going both ways when you have a car sitting in the middle of a lane and you know they're not supposed to be there. By the way I had a handicap placard for about 10 years before I got my knees work done so I understand how they just simply is never enough any kind of parking for people with special plates. By the way you don't have to be The driver to be the handicapped person in the car

Bad parking seems like a year round thing.

I hate when people part in the crosswalk while the passenger runs into a grocery store for one or two items. In the meantime, the rest of us have to go around their car to get in the door. Not to mention when coming out, the illegally parked car is blocking your view of oncoming traffic. But they are the entitled so the heck with the rest of us. The sheriffs office should have citizen volunteers to hand out tickets. That would solve the problem!

What a wonderful idea----kind of like hall monitors in grade school--we all know how that works out.

Let's see---parking monitor's friend-----do what you want
Parking monitor's enemy-----5 tickets
And then there's the inevitable confrontations with these "citizen's on patrol"

There's a reason why we put law enforcement into the hands of trained professionals

Why push it back! I'd leave it in the street. One good deed deserves another.

One time years ago, someone abandoned a car by parking it in front of our house and taking off. The police said they could not have it towed (unless I was willing to pay for it) unless it was parked in such a way as to be a hazard (wink, wink). The car became parked as a hazard very quickly (but not a dangerous hazard).
