Default Thinking of moving to the Villages

Two questions I have after reading about the Villages:
How many people are "snowbirds" and leave for the summer?
How are the homeowner's insurance prices increased due to the hurricanes?

I am impressed by the activities and would love a "community" feel. An additional plus is that I dont mind lot of people living closely. Thanks for the opportunity to post.

I wouldn't live anywhere else but the Villages. Love the lifestyle and all the activities but most of all I love my neighbors and community spirit that is in my Village. I'm sure all the Villages feel the same. My insurance hasn't gone up yet but I heard 40 per cent when it is due but then they are legislating to bring it back down. Not that awful bad. :dontknow:Hard to tell how many are "snowbirds" but it sure is easier to get tee times and get into one of the many restaurants during the summer months. Traffic can be a problem in summer and winter.

My insurance went up 45% last month. >I took on more deductable and cut it a little. It's really not fun paying for the one's living on the coast. If they can afford beach property they can afford to pay for the insurance.
