My thoughts, exactly.

Question

[QUOTE=skyguy79;475068]SunCity, the new square you refer to is 6 miles from where I live and I'm just off 466A. I've been on 466A several time since we moved here in January 2011 and have been around Brownwood on all 4 sides too. So I have a fair idea of how much development area is left on 466a from the east end to the west end. There's very little left to be developed within that stretch of road.

Beyond those ends, the road is outside of The Villages with about a mile to the west and about 3 miles to the east. To those ends there may well be considerable development, but as I originally suggested, Brownwood is not in the immediate area of 466A.

Now around the immediate area of Brownwood and along 44 there is little doubt that there will be considerable development. Besides Brownwood, there is already a shopping center started on it's west. I also don't think I won't recognize the area in the future as I'll be witnessing it's growth a little at a time. So there won't be any big surprises for me.

Maybe a dumb question all? When do we run out of water? Water restrictions on our lawns and all this building? Just asking. Have they done studies?

I don't know about the water CarGuys as all I can think about right now at lunchtime is the chocolate waffle cones that swimdawg mentioned! I'm a firm believer in "life's short, eat your dessert first".

FYI at our recent St. James cul-de-sac party, I was told by neighbors that the cow pasture land off of 466-A was purchased and medical offices are to be built in that area.

I am referring to the entire area around Brownwood including areas off of 466-A.

But more important than all the building that will happen in the future, I'm with Capt. John, bring on the chocolate ice cream cone. Oh yes!!!!

We were being nice? I guess we'll need to change our ways and I'll start by saying... no ice cream for you! :throwtomatoes:

I would not doubt The Villages have planned for 50 years in advance for water etc. they already know what the place will look like when its done

That was the intent of the three tier water rate system

CarGuys 04-04-2012 03:57 PM

Explain ole wise one? I do not understand as a newbie

Tks

CatskillBill 04-04-2012 08:17 PM

I think the three tiers are, irrigation usage rate , potable water rate, and third (commercial or sewage usage) ?

CatskillBill 04-04-2012 08:33 PM

Plus I forgot to add in the post above that your bill has a base rate for each category. Then different rate over 4,000 gals usage for home, over 7,000 gals. irrigation, and over 10,000 gals of for sewer. Commercial users may have their own rate too. Not sure.

With less than 4" of rain since November we're in a real trouble now. Where's the water gonna come from to accommodate the 20-30,000 new homes in the future for TV and the surrounding developments?

Bill-n-Brillo 04-04-2012 08:35 PM

I believe this is the 3-tier system Rubicon refers to:

Ex.: for NORTH SUMTER COUNTY UTILITY DEPENDENT DISTRICT

Use rate - per 1,000 gallons
First 4,000 gallons..........$1.72
4,001 - 8,000 gallons......$2.88
8,001 and up ................$4.01

Thanks CatskillBill and BillnBrillo.

Sad for all of us- But the tears won't save the lawn! First SU went out and then Ohio.

I bet many are hoping for some rain soon!
