Default Those of you with a pool

For those of you that have your own swimming pool how often do you actually use it? I'm curious if it's worth the cost or if it's only used when grandkids or family is over.

Somewhat of a side I've been taking care of my girlfriend's pool up north this summer and find it somewhat cathartic.

I'll let you maintain my pool, if it will help relieve your stress.

We had a big pool and spa previously when we lived in the Tampa Bay area. We found we personally didn't use it much, except when there were visitors. When we started looking at homes in TV, we said we weren't interested in a pool, but if the property had a hot tub, we would consider it.

We found our perfect home and lot, complete with an inground swim spa, which we had never considered. It is half a hot tub, half a resistance pool, and measures 8' X 15'. It has a small footprint and is heated with an underground propane tank. We have added an 11' cantilever (pivots and tilts) umbrella to curb the direct sunlight. We use it all the time for ourselves and it has been a big hit with our visitors, especially our little grandson.

It is very nice at night too!

We've been here for two years and use our pool nearly every morning that is nice in the warmer months. We have a dog who loves to swim. We have solar heater but don't use the pool much when the air temperature is too cool. T&D maintains the pool and does a good job.

When we lived in NC , I build an indoor lap pool for my wife, she used it daily. Heating it (electric) and doing the the chemistry act to maintain water quality was a pain & expensive.
Could have belonged to a health club. I honestly can't see the NEED for a pool in the Villages-there are so many public pools here for every kind of personal needs.

We love ours and use it a lot. Sometimes it is nice to have your own because of the privacy and peacefulness you get!!

We have had a pool for two years, use it about every day. Love it. T&D Pool takes care of it for me, at a reasonable rate and great service.

Hi! I always said if you live in Florida you should have a pool.
I grew up on LongIsland and always had an in ground pool.
So much work for only 4 months use. But we have such memories
From having it. When I moved here in 2012 that was a top
Priority in our home search. We wanted to stay in Spanish Spring
Area but couldn't find a house we like with a pool. So we found a
House in our preferred area and added our dream pool & birdcage.
Also added solar heat and gas heat for those nippy winter days.
Very low maintenance, and I believe to be a good investment.
I use pool 4x a week after tennis, and yes- the company always
Enjoy it. Mom always said " if you can afford it & want it- get it"
Good luck with your plans! Connie

Because our son is disabled, we use our pool almost every day for therapy. The pool does get closed up in the winter when it's too cold. We use the spa then, and usually in Jan, Feb, and Mar we go to the therapy pool at Lake Centre for Rehab near the hospital.

We have a pool and use it almost every day. We've had it for almost 3 1/2 years. Love it! T&D maintains it.

We use it nearly every morning , kind of sets the mood for the day...Hardly ever went to public pools and so I was afraid it would be a waste of money. However now we have had it for three years and I can't imagine living here without it....Its only 12x24 which is the max for the yard we had but it seems to be sufficient and I take care of it myself.....great fun.....Sure beats having a dog,,but then anything beats that.....
