Glad I live up north. It still feels like the middle.

The date a square opens is a relative thing. Being able to drive through it versus being able to actually do something, or perhaps having more than one business open. We bought our lot on Fieldstone in Charlotte in January 2012 and moved in June 1, 2012. In October 2012 they opened Brownwood. We went down there on the first day and it was packed. The golf cart store was open, the theaters were up and running. There was live entertainment that night, and I think it was that weekend or maybe the next that they had the first Farmer’s market. So I don’t know what others call “open,” but I certainly consider Brownwood opened as of that day in October 2012.

The Developer understands math, as do many other retail related businesses. How many homes, within what radius, supports beginning a new square? As an example - based on the Developer's expansion plans, adding new retail space, in advance of demand, is underway in Brownwood - even though empty space still exists.

Existing and planned population density may be a better predictor than time.

Default New Square across from Coleman Prison!!!

There will be a new square just across from the entrance to the Coleman Prison, for an apparent reason, it is a perfect location near Bushnell!

I was told by one of the sales agents that worked for TV that the reason the Brownwood Square was opened so early was because Gary Morse wanted to see it come to fruition before he passed away. He said the original plan was to build homes from Morse westward to Buena Vista and then build the square.
