Thundering in Tamarind Grove, too. But it seems to be getting more distant.

We had a downpour and very strong winds for short while. The air is extremely unstable right now and throughout the evening, we're going to have all sorts of alerts, I have no doubt. Tornado warning has expired for Sumter County, but tornado watch is still in effect until 10 tonight.

Did anyone's weather radio broadcast an alert? We got an alert on the home phone and wife's cell but silence on the radio.

Not something we often see here in Florida.....quite a shelf cloud, down near Lockhart, southeast of Altamonte Springs.

My radio has sounded a number of times this afternoon. I do have it set for three counties. Tornado watch first, then tornado warning, then severe thunderstorm warning. Problem is I don't know what specific county till I turn on TV. I have all three programmed since I live very close to the Sumter, Lake Counties boundary, and not too far from the Marion County boundary.

We did not receive a Code Red call. We still are under a tornado watch for a few more hours.

My radio went off this morning for Sumter county for tornado watch. We don't have lake county since it is so large that the fire station set our for Sumter since we live only blocks away from the county line.we got the heavy rain, good wind gusts and some hail now it is bright and sunny but I can still heard the thunder.

Well it rained, but that was a pretty sorry excuse for a storm - hoping more rain will come our way.
