When you cut the hole, cut a piece of weed block larger than the donut. Cut a hole in center for sprinkler head. Put it down under the donut. This will greatly reduce weed and grass growth around sprinkler.

Maybe the Canadian Police can help you with the donuts but don’t tell them it’s a nothingberder

I respectfully disagree with your selection. The donut cutters available from Lowes or Home Depot are substandard in quality and durability. Neighbors have owned them and they struggled with cutting the grass roots (the cutting teeth are too short) and the strength of the welding. Failures occur when the welds break.

I purchased a heavy duty donut cutter from Florida Irrigation Service (FIS). They are located about 1 mile north of the intersection of CR42 and US441. Their donut cutter is a bit pricey, but worth the cost in reducing frustration.

OK I SHOULD have said this type of tool....my bad....:ohdear:

That doesn't work for St. Augustine as the runners grow sideways and they grow fast.

Hmmm. It’s the same one I’ve used for about 4 yrs now without an issue. I have 45 donuts in my yard now that I use it on.

I use my sawz all. Just put it down a couple inches, I use a 4 inch blade and saw around your donut. Mine is battery operated, and works great, and you can always use a sawz all for other cutting.
