Maybe a bunch of people should descend on this herd and embarrass them into reality-- I would do it but our cars don't lean to anononymity

You've got to be kidding, ok you see an arsonist-you report him/her--and if you can you try to save lives--its your civic duty--this is very real, just hope this doesn't bite you in the butt big time-then you would have said shoulda ,coulda, but it would be too late--no do overs with this bug; especially if you're over 60

For your information and keep this info handy in case you survive:
- NOT EVERYONE dies from the Corona-virus....

Chatbrat 03-29-2020 11:39 AM

But if you're over 60 the odds are not in you're favor--see what odds a Vegas bookie would give you--might be enlightening, or better yet try and buy life insurance NOW,actuaries are not idiots

I'm happy to see you DID NOT SAY everyone over 60 will die.... :a040:

In Italy, they let you die if you are over 60--they will only try to save those who might make it

I did see 3 or 4 couples at LSL dancing with alot of distance between them. But my thought was what if hundreds of couples decided they were special and went to dance at the square?

Wait, am I missing something? Are the bands still playing? Why would people be out there dancing? I’ve glanced at the webcams and the squares appear nearly deserted the few times I’ve looked.

Keep sending pictures of the groups gathering to DeSantis office to show him that this is happening all over the The Villages on a regular basis and many are not following the social distancing like he thinks Villagers are. He needs to make it mandatory to protect those that are following the guidelines. These inconsiderate people are in our grocery stores and places we have to go to and spreading their party atmosphere germs to those that are only getting groceries. Even if you order on line these people have been in the store which could endanger the groceries we get delivered. They are also endangering the workers at the grocery stores that have to be there for their jobs so that we have the groceries we need. My husband and I went out on our cart alone to watch the sunset a few times and passed by huge groups of people with chairs set up, tables of food and drinks, having sunset parties in various areas we passed by. We find places to watch it where we are completely alone and no one is anywhere around. This was several times just in the last week! 😢😢

Have driven by LSL a couple times recently. There were a few folks line dancing to the radio music. A few others dancing here and there. And some folks sitting in chairs chatting. With just a few exceptions, all were reasonably adhering to social distancing recommendations from what I saw.

Remember the 1960 movie "On the Beach"?

All of the people in the world had been wiped out except for some in Australia. At first, there were large groups gathering awaiting the End, but later the crowds got smaller . . . .and smaller . . .and smaller . . .

As I recall there were even line dancers up until The End.

Not to mention the fact that there aren't enough ventilators, so health care workers are having to make hard decisions about who gets them.
