Default Bar Full Of Women

Boy ya'll fall for anything don't ya. Now that I've gotten your attention check these babes out. And they started early too. You ask how do I know that they're all women? Because the male has a red band around his neck. ;D Probably from where the mrs. has strangled him once or twice. :realmad:

Ya got me good on that one LMAO. I was just so ready to read the replies. Your heading was much better than a cup of coffee for getting the blood pressure up. Do Hummers (not the four wheeled tanks) overwinter here?????

I don't think so. Here's the migration map and dates of when they start to head north. http://www.hummingbirds.net/map.html They don't show them heading south. I've been feeding them for about 15 years. Where we live now their arrival time varied only one day from last year. I use one part sugar to 3 parts water and then a drop or 2 of red food coloring. They consume 6-8 cups of sugar water daily. And I've been buying 10 lb bags of sugar from SAMS instead of the smaller bags. I'm on the 2nd 10 pounder this season. Grab a coffee and sit back and relax watching them. Also if you click on the pictures you'll get a closer view.

Click on the link below. It shows the approximate arrival dates on the area that you are inquiring about. The dates are only as accurate as the reporter. Not carved in stone. They don't have any information on when they head south. And it's a myth when to remove your feeders up north for fear of the little guys freezing to death. They have better sense than most humans. At least former jet engine mechanics and bass fisherman. Hmmm. I seem to resemble that remark.
