Is 35 mph, i do not think that would be legal in a golf cart, unless the cart is street legal. Is this correct? And if i am correct, what would be the best way to re-enter her villa, as she will be going south on morse? I thank anyone in advance for their help in this matter.

read the dmv rules..........you are correct

No, you are both wrong. Read all the posts in the thread. The Morse speed limit North of 466 is 30 MPH. You can make a left turn off of Morse and it would be from the car lane.

Do NOT CROSS 35 mph roads unless your street legal.

I don't understand anyone who thinks making a left turn from the golf cart lane is safe or legal or who told them to. :22yikes:

Yet I see it at least once a day, sometimes more.

Since returning to TV in October I have seen a lady in a golf cart, not street legal, on the Beuna Vista-Bailey Trail roundabout (the south one). Going the wrong way. Fortunately, oncoming traffic was able to stop before hitting her. I thought she was a goner.

Yesterday, coming out of the neighborhood Walmart Grocery Market down by Colony, as I made the left onto 466A, a non-street legal cart was in the right lane, heading westbound (at least she was going with the flow of traffic).

There was a cart driven by a lady yesterday around noon, that drove in the car lane on Pinellas Place, from Hendry to the Pinellas Plaza gate. I was about the 8th car in line or she would have heard my horn. I guess that clearly marked diamond lane is only for the rest of us.

LOL Remember the intoxicated golf cart lady on the interstate? I still to this day haven't figured out how she got on it and I bet the trooper hasn't either!

Saw a guy taking the round-about at Morse/Paige/El Camino Real last week in a golf cart. No license plate, just a normal-looking Yamaha. I wasn't close enough to tell if he had seatbelts or not. But the top half of his windshield was folded down, so that right there means they probably didn't have windshield wipers- which is mandatory for a street-legal golf cart.

That was last week. So sure you can blame the snowbirds.

But you can't blame the snowbirds for the same roundabout back in July when a couple in their cart took a LEFT out of the hospital side-road and went clockwise around the roundabout on the cart path. That's a one-way, extra wide single-lane path that runs around the outer perimeter of the roundabout. I yelled across to them to let them know they were going the wrong way and they yelled back to mind my own business.

They were obviously not snowbirds - since it happened in July.

I wish they would lower Rolling Acres rd from 35 to 30 so we can cross and access a plethora of stores.
