Default Trash pick-up

This is our first Thanksgiving here and I have a question about trash pick-up on Thanksgiving Day. Since it is a holiday do they suspend pick-up and then move it to the next day, or do they pick-up as usual?
In NY they didn't pick-up on holidays, but when we lived in NC they did.
Thanks in advance, and we wish you all a happy, healthy and blessed Thanksgiving!

Best way to know for certain is to read the paper - they always have a small box or story telling what is open/closed based upon the county you are in. The three counties usually do not have the same schedules for their services. The article is on page C3 of the paper today. In short though, no trash on Thursday. Trash pick up schedule resumes on Friday; those who have a Thursday pickup lose that day, it isn't made up.

We normally have recycle and garbage pick-up on Fridays and we're in Sumter County. Does your post mean that Friday is cancelled?

If your regular pickup is Monday/Thursday, your next pickup will be Monday. If your regular pickup is Tuesday/Friday, your next pickup will be this Friday.

My complaint is that they give a bunch of initials in the newspaper for trash companies, and I have no idea of who they are and who picks up my recycle or garbage. Can't they just say yes or no for trash pickups?

Today's Daily Sun gives the closing by county.
