Default Travel time??

Good morning everyone,

What's the average travel time from the area between 466/466a and Leesburg? I'm also assuming that you can't use your golf cart ...

Thanks in advance!

Cannot use your golf cart.

Since we have no idea where you are starting from and where you are heading no idea how to answer time question.

If you have waze can easily get that info.

Use google maps. maps.google.com

Enter your starting and ending addresses, you can put in an address or click on a map to select and then click directions. I have found the travel time estimates very accurate. For golf carts, select on bicycle directions.

You can't get to Leesburg by cart.

Where in Lessburg? The border? The far end? Where between 466 & 466A? That's about a 5 mile range. From our home in Amelia on O'Dell to the Bill Bryan Kia dealer is about 20 minutes. To Walmart in Leesburg is about 10 minutes. That's like asking "how far to Europe from Africa!" You cover a lot of territory! Google maps is your friend!

and another 15 or 20 minutes to find the rest of Leesburg, it is pretty well spread out, large community and some areas with lots of traffic others with minimal traffic.

Depends where - downtown Leesburg, 20 to 25 minutes. Further south or east - could be 30 to 40 minutes.

Since I'm not living in TV yet, it's a little hard to get the starting point, but Leesburg seems to be one of the "great" places for all kinds of stuff! One poster said 15 min, you said 10 min or 20 min ... so I'm guessing that "less than 30 minutes" is a good approximation.

Thanks for the quick response!

Since you are computer savvy enough to use Talk of The Villages, I would like to think you are also also capable of using Google or Apple Maps to check for directions on a "From" and "To" basis. I don't know about Apple, but Google Maps not only gives you the route, but the distance, AND the travel time. So I would suggest you might check that resource first.

And I'm going off topic about the distance/time. But I like that you are looking for things to do that aren't necessarily inside The Villages. One year we went to downtown Leesburg during Halloween. The whole town was full of really fun decorations and mannequins, etc. My favorite was a man in overalls bent over into a manhole cover apparently fixing some sewer thing. There were many more like this. Please go! It's really a quaint place.

Also, a block off the main street there is a wonderful gardening store.

We live just north of 466A, in Tamarind Grove off of St. Charles St. I would say 25 minutes to downtown Leesburg.

The gardening store was sold and closed well over a year ago. It was in business many decades it was called Simon seed it had a large wall with pull out drawers for all different seeds with many varieties you would not find in the prepackaged commercial companies

The seed business itself was sold to somebody else who keeps it going and I believe is still also in Leesburg but it's now commercial only

Really, some very dumb questions asked on TOTV. This has become a lazy persons media.
