Default TRIM Notice

We just received our TRIM Notice. What does the acronym TRIM stand for? Tried looking up online, couldn’t find anything. Thanks.

TRIM stands for "truth in milleage". It is an advanced copy of your estimated taxes, based on the proposed new milleage rates before they have been officially approved. You get the actual official tax bill in early November.

Wish they would call it what it is or what you said it actually is, "advanced copy of estimated taxes".

Got mine. Assessed value went up but taxes basically the same as last year. Would be happier if it weren't for last year's large increase.
