We didn't move any lanai furniture and everything stayed put. We are just south of Lake Sumter Landing so maybe we didn't have those gusts that your area experienced.

We got a lot of rain (the lawn was squishy this morning). But aside from that... not much to say.

Wasn't Eta a tropical storm?

Just hoping some folks in the Villages could let Villagers who are currently not at their homes know how things were as the storm passed by earlier today. Was there any evidence of wind or flooding damage? I would be personally interested in a report from someone in the greater Tierra Del Sol area between Lake Sumter Landing and Spanish Springs.

Depends on how sturdy your home is. Some friends had leaks.

I live in Tierra del Sol. It was rainy off and on on Wednesday. If there was anything on Wednesday night, I slept through it. Nothing on Thursday except I light breeze, then occasional sun. I brought all my outdoor cushions into the house from the open Lanai, but it wasn’t necessary. I haven’t seen any damage at all.

No problems here. All we got was a gentle wind and a light sprinkle.

You mean the only one that happened in The Villages in 2007?

You ever wonder why there are no tornado warning sirens in The Villages? Because there are NO TORNADOES.

I am east of Lake Sumter Landing and have a weather station. Highest gust was 17.4 mph early Thursday morning. Total rain Wed. night/Thursday morning was 2.16 in. Very little debris and no flooding that I have seen.

We live in Tierra Del Sol and there were some palm fronds down, nothing else I know of.

What storm. Just wind and rain.

Was mostly a rain event but a very strange storm path.

What storm?

Live 1/2 mile from Spanish Springs and 5-6 oranges fell off of two trees. Played golf in Tavares yesterday. Golf course was a swamp. They had 6 inches in rain. At TV less than an inch

Live near Seabreeze and traveled to Rohn at 6a Thursday. Very little branches down, the rain must have been before 6 am Thursday because only sprinkles after. Little windy but nothing unusal to a normal day after 6a nor did I see any evidence of damage (not even big puddles)
