A, Locate belly button.
B. Look south about six inches.

Problem solved!

If you want to lie to yourself, fine. But don't cry if others won't participate in the lie…..

Well said

So simple but so true

Agree, why bother asking. We are going to leave the underpaid, underqualified TSA to decide if the correct box is checked?

So, lets let the thread return to the original question which was to stir up a dog whistle on anything other than your view.

You misinterpret the original question and go off in the wrong direction. The question was "Why ask the question regarding Gender?" If your current ID says one thing and you want to say something else, that is OK by the instructions. You need no one else's decision. Thus, the answer is irrelevant. It does not contain any relevant identifying info about you. No intent of a dog whistle. Just an intent to point out the absurdity of asking a question that has no value by definition. Any answer is considered correct. Obsessions with what you are is not the issue. Just like questions regarding hair color, eye color, skin color, height and weight where you can decline to answer or change the actual.

TSA's responsibility is to determine if you are who you say you are and to evaluate whether you represent any danger. If you are 30 years old, 6'8" and full beard, bald, 400 pounds and claim to be Twiggy (Dame Lesley Lawson DBE (née Hornby; born 19 September 1949) is an English model, actress, and singer, widely known by the nickname Twiggy) you "might" be questioned without needing a form that you filled out regarding characteristics. No one is going to count your x,y or other alphabet constituents.

Sorry I was not clear, that is my fault. You misinterpreted my reply. I was not replying to the OP, I was replying to someone that went off on the "there are only two sexes" dog whistle.

And I agree with the reply that said the reason for the questions is more than likely associated with the TSA having to do "pat downs" occasionally, and they are required by law to use a person of the same sex (in the case of male vs female). I have no idea what they do for an intersex person.

They would have to find an intersex type person if not available, have to find a volunteer who would volunteer to be interesex that day?

As a potential volunteer, do you get to see who they want you to pat down before you actually volunteer? Remember, as a volunteer, you're not getting paid to do the job. 😋
