I for one hope the best for the chief and family. Will miss his service to community and best wishes.

The only thing that this forum is useful for is outright slander. Chief Tucker truly is an amazing man, and he deserves respect for everything he has done for your community. Clearly the decision to resign was totally on him. He is a family man, that's respectable. Sometimes in life it is time to move on. I believe it is probably more because of those of you who are too ignorant to leave him alone already why he resigned. He has been through enough already. Geez. Leave him alone. Don't be a rumor weed.

This is pathetic, that the man was tried in the media and his reputation was destroyed, when in the end, the kid asked to drop the case and let his dad come home.
Too bad that change of heart couldn't have been made privately, BEFORE the media clowns slime a man in public. So much for "innocent until proven guilty"!! "Reports said the victim was bruised and scratched. |
Amen! Well put as always!

If Chief Tucker is as good at his job as most seem to think he is (and I have no reason to doubt his abilities...), I think it's sad that WE may have lost someone of his ability.
In today's complex World, employee's are often permitted to take-off a few months to cure/help/restore various personal and family issues. I wonder if he was given that chance? I suspect a six-month leave of absence might give the Tucker Family the opportunity to heal their family, and The Villages would not loose a talented employee. Maybe Janet (I forgot her last name) needs to renegotiate Tucker's resignation and see if there isn't some other satisfactory remedy. Maybe (hopefully...) this isn't over. Best, Casey |
Many times after a difficult and embarrassing situation occurs in an environment that shuns such, the resolution is to rid the history of the event. It probably wasn't his choice alone.

This is where women's intuition defies logic. I FEEL that his employers were understanding and supportive of him as a person. I think that he chose a very high road in order to not have any naysaying against them.. But we will never know, and we will think what we think. |

No one knows for sure what happened but janet tutt had a difficult decision to make with a popular chief. Just my opinion but i think in the best interests of the dept., she offered for him to resign and not be fired. I am sure he will resurface somewhere in a different fire dept.
