Exactly. Like I said. Consider the source of the article. We still don't know how much he paid for his house.

Too many rollover accidents in The Villages. No way I would ever raise the center of gravity of my cart.

Go to districtgov.com then Departments click District Property Management , left menu quick links, click golf car tunnel heights.

Interesting that the two lowest tunnels at 70" center height are South of 44, or is that a typo ?

Gotta be a typo. Our cart is 75” wouldn’t fit if it was only 70.” We go under it all the time and have plenty of room. We have scraped the side of our roof on that one on BV though.

Be careful in your research, all tunnel heights are not the same. I have flags on my cart and they hit the top of some tunnels and not others. Plus, the top of the tunnels are curved so the “centerline” height (which is the quoted height) is not uniform across the height and width of your cart.

Great information. Thanks!

Some of the low number bridges are the lowest. B1 to Saddlebrook. I for one would not get a raised cart or one with oversized wheels.

It like the editor wants to prove that he/she knows how to do basic research.

A golf cart driver escaped injury in a mishap Saturday at a tunnel in The Villages.

The Par Car golf cart got wedged in at Tunnel B-17 at about 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Southern Trace and Buena Vista Boulevard, near the Hawkes Bay Golf Course starter shack.

The man driving the golf cart began to enter the tunnel but a high-topper golf cart coming in the opposite direction was “hogging” the tunnel, according to a witness. The driver of the Par Car swerved to avoid the collision, but got wedged in the tunnel.

Community Watch was on the scene directing traffic away from the tunnel.

This was my husband. The woman driving towards him in the tunnel was DISTRACTED and over corrected her turn to avoid hitting the wall. In so doing, she veered towards my husband. He turned to avoid getting hit. He was just turning into the tunnel. The right front wheel caught and climbed the wall. It was standing on its back end and was wedged there. 8 men couldn’t budge it! After 45 minutes, it was winched out by Kart Aide.
Fortunately, Ron was unhurt.
The cart is totaled. The frame, axel and windscreen are twisted. The body is broken from metal pressure points giving way.
The driver continued on her way without stopping.
How kind of her.
It is a Par Car. Now, it’s a heap.

S
Don...he was cut off and forced to the side by an approaching cart who refused to move. Please read the **************.com for up to date information and stop wondering

Just curious - do you have a tape measure - or did you ask the sales person where your looking?
