ARC is more than just a formality. When buying you agree to abide by the deed restrictions. You must have prior approval before installing shutters.

There was a story in the paper last year about an owner having to remove a birdcage and lanai extension he installed 10 or 12 years ago without ARC approval.

Disgraceful -- absolutely disgraceful.

Not sure what the law is but we are in a non-pet friendly hotel in the panhandle riding out the storm and they are allowing pets. I have heard more than one person say that it is a law during a hurricane. Don't know for sure on this.
